Our commitment to producing highly reliable control components combined with our reputation for intelligent design-for-manufacture and safety-critical solutions has earned the trust of some of the world’s most respected OEMs and Tier-1 Suppliers, as we continue to help them deliver above and beyond growing customer expectations.
We offer a variety of thermal management control units that deliver a wide range of performance and safety requirements. Our suite of products can be adapted to any surface in the vehicle seat, arm rests, console or steering wheel, providing outstanding application versatility and multi-point applications that deliver customized zones of personal comfort
All of our Climate Seat ECU’s combine heat and ventilation functionality that removes moisture and provides ambient cooling comfort. The active cooling available in some models employ a thermoelectric system to provide cooled air that is below ambient cabin temperature.
Gentherm blower & fan ECU control blowers engineered with flexible speed stability to meet unique customer requirements. High reliability and robustness have been proven by leading OEMs around the world after years’ service and validation. Our axial and radial blowers are developed specifically for automotive applications, with exceptional performance in critical areas that minimize vibration and sound levels for superior occupant comfort and are characterized by customized working ranges and optimal noise patterns combined with low vibrations and lowest sound levels.
The Memory Seat Module (MSM) is an independent control unit that coordinates control of personal comfort and convenience settings. Gentherm MSM is capable of motoring seat positions via common hall sensors or the patented Intelligent Positioning System - IPS™, which uses a sophisticated digital analysis software algorithm that keeps track of motor position by counting commutations of the motor. The waveform is then analyzed digitally.
Memory Seat Module (MSM) is an independent control unit that coordinates the control of personal comfort and convenience settings. Directly linked to the position motors and switches, it monitors seat positions via common hall sensors or the patented Intelligent Positioning System - IPS™.
Now an expected amenity in every modern vehicle, our power seat module enables drivers and passengers to enjoy personalized comfort and positioning that contributes to a safe and enjoyable journey.
In a typical system, Hall sensors are used in conjunction with brushed DC motors to sense the position and send signals to an electronic module that tells motors where to return to a “memory” position.
The Gentherm IPS™ (Intelligent Positioning System) eliminates the use of hall sensors from the brushed motors, along with the associated wiring and connectors.
This advanced solution uses a sophisticated software algorithm that tracks motor position by counting and digitally analyzing commutations (as detected by the current waveform) of the motor.

Gentherm anti-pinch door control module can detect if the power window encounters an obstruction in the pinch region and instantly have it retracted a defined distance. This anti-pinch module can control an independent automotive window mechanism utilizing Gentherm IPS™ technology that will eliminate the need for hall-based position sensors.
Gentherm PilotSense™ Hands on Detection (HOD) ECU brings to drive into a safe and comfortable future. Sensing element located under steering wheel soft cover is used to precisely detect if an occupant’s hands are on or off a steering wheel. Only one ECU to control both HOD and steering wheel heater as optional features. Our HOD method, not require interrupting the Heater functionality for taking HOD sensing measurements.
Element is used in conjunction with other technologies for driver traffic jam assist, adaptive cruise control, HMI interface and lane change assist applications. Our solution also supports integration of customer existing vehicle system.
Our Electronic Steering Wheel Adjustment System is a stand-alone ECU used for the adjustable steering column. The ECU analyzes data received from each sensor and controls the motor to deliver steering-assisted functions.
Gentherm flex electronics enables intelligent Cell Connecting Boards (eCCB) feature flex foil conductors and MSP technology. The integrated cell sensing electronics to provide space optimization and efficient assembly processes. This solution also utilizes the advantages of impedance spectroscopy to extend EV battery service life.
The Transmission Range Control Module interfaces with the selection coupler, moving it to precisely defined locations to put the transmission into the desired gear. ASIL B module also provides a separate emergency park function, when severe physical or network error occurs. PIA to transmission assembly but not involved with power train function.
This solution adapts automatically to road surfaces using 16 discrete damping curves to improve occupant comfort and vehicle performance. Placement constraints are mitigated by placing sensors, valves and other components inside the damper.
